Description

A delightful dish combining crispy pastry with a creamy spinach filling, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped (or 3/4 cup frozen spinach, thawed & squeezed dry)
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese (or feta for tangier flavor)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or parmesan for richness)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Puff pastry dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the pastry dough on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes (squares or circles).
  4. Place a spoonful of spinach filling onto the center of each pastry piece.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices like red pepper flakes or herbs to the filling. Serve with a dipping sauce like marinara or yogurt sauce.
