  • 2 slices of thick-cut bread (like brioche or sourdough)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 ounces cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 ounces shredded cheese (a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice, butter-side down, in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Evenly spread the shrimp and cheese mixture on top of the bread in the pan.
  5. Place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  7. Remove the sandwich from the pan, slice it in half, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce. Use your favorite type of cheese or mix different kinds for a unique flavor.
