- 2 slices of thick-cut bread (like brioche or sourdough)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 4 ounces cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 ounces shredded cheese (a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice, butter-side down, in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Evenly spread the shrimp and cheese mixture on top of the bread in the pan.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
- Remove the sandwich from the pan, slice it in half, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
For an extra kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce. Use your favorite type of cheese or mix different kinds for a unique flavor.
