Description

A quick and tasty Spicy Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry Bowl featuring sautéed chicken, vibrant broccoli, and a flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 12 red chilies (dried or fresh), sliced or whole
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Cooked jasmine rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds & green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken pieces in a little salt, pepper, and cornstarch.
  2. In a hot pan with oil, cook the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the broccoli and chilies to the pan, sauté for 2–3 minutes, then stir in minced garlic.
  4. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce (if using), honey, and rice vinegar. Stir until bubbly and thickened.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan and coat well in the sauce.
  6. Serve over cooked jasmine rice, topped with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of chilies. Add other vegetables like bell peppers for a colorful touch!
