Description

A delightful dessert combining creamy ice cream with cookie dough, Snickers, and Reese’s for a fun flavor adventure.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 4 Snickers bars (chopped)
  • 4 Reese’s peanut butter cups (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for fudge swirl, optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for fudge swirl, optional)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for fudge swirl, optional)
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup (for fudge swirl, optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Cookie Dough: In a bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add vanilla extract and salt, then mix in the flour until smooth. Fold in mini chocolate chips. Chill the dough for 30 minutes, then break it into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. Prepare the Ice Cream Base: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Make the Fudge Swirl (optional): Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in heavy cream and corn syrup, and cook until smooth and thickened. Let it cool slightly.
  4. Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled ice cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, typically 20-25 minutes.
  5. Assemble the Ice Cream: Once the ice cream is churned, gently fold in the cookie dough pieces, chopped Snickers, Reese’s peanut butter cups, and drizzle in the fudge swirl (if using).
  6. Freeze: Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 240 minutes, or until firm.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Scoop out your Snickers & Reese’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream and enjoy! Tip: For a gooey, chewy texture, let the ice cream sit for a few minutes before scooping.

Notes

Use heat-treated flour for cookie dough safety. Customize candy mix-ins as desired. For softer ice cream, let it sit at room temperature before serving.
