Description

A warm and gooey dessert that combines the classic flavors of snickerdoodle cookies with a comforting cobbler.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour this batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish. Make sure not to stir.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Sprinkle this cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  8. Carefully pour the hot water over the entire mixture without stirring it.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbling.
  10. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!

Notes

For added richness, substitute half of the milk with buttermilk. Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
