A warm and gooey dessert that combines the classic flavors of snickerdoodle cookies with a comforting cobbler.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
- Pour this batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish. Make sure not to stir.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle this cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
- Carefully pour the hot water over the entire mixture without stirring it.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbling.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!
Notes
For added richness, substitute half of the milk with buttermilk. Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
