Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Rinse the turkey and pat it dry.
- Rub the turkey with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Soak the wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Place the soaked wood chips in the smoker.
- Place the turkey in the smoker, breast side up.
- Smoke the turkey for approximately 30 minutes per pound or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before carving.
