A hearty and comforting dish that combines smoked sausage, tender cabbage, and satisfying egg noodles, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

- 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 small head cabbage, thinly sliced
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup frozen green peas (thawed)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, sauté sausage slices until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add cabbage and cook until wilted and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
- Return sausage to the pan, stir in noodles and peas. Season with salt and generous black pepper.
- Toss everything together and heat through. Serve warm.
Notes
This dish can be served warm on its own or with a slice of crusty bread. Fresh herbs can be added for extra flavor.
