Description

A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a savory black pepper sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp black pepper (fresh cracked preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (to coat beef)
  • 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
  • Sesame seeds & green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Toss beef with cornstarch and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or pan. Sear beef until browned; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, cook onions, peppers, and garlic until just tender.
  4. Add soy, oyster, hoisin, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Return beef to the pan, toss to coat everything in the sauce. Cook 1–2 minutes more.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh cracked black pepper. Adjust the vegetables to your preference.
