Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, chopped shrimp, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce until well combined.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the mixture in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper to seal it, forming a triangle or pocket shape.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the wontons in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with a sweet chili dip.

Notes

Best served hot and crispy with dipping sauces like sweet chili or soy sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
