Description

A quick and delicious Shrimp and Broccoli Stir-Fry that combines tender shrimp and fresh broccoli in a flavorful sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mushroom sauce or oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until it’s tender yet still crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mushroom sauce, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  6. Add the broccoli back into the skillet with the shrimp. Pour the sauce over the top and stir everything together for another 2 minutes until the shrimp and broccoli are coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with red pepper flakes and sesame seeds. Serve with rice or noodles. Enjoy!

Notes

For a more colorful dish, feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey.
