Description
A creamy and delicious dish that combines savory shrimp with rich Alfredo sauce and pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- Salt (for pasta water)
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat well.
- Add the shrimp back into the skillet and mix gently.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or substituting half of the heavy cream with chicken broth for a lighter sauce.
