Description

A creamy and delicious dish that combines savory shrimp with rich Alfredo sauce and pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Salt (for pasta water)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat well.
  6. Add the shrimp back into the skillet and mix gently.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or substituting half of the heavy cream with chicken broth for a lighter sauce.
