Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Add the butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Color one half with red food coloring and the other with green food coloring.
- Layer the red and green batters in the greased cake pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
- Once cooled, frost the cake with buttercream frosting.
- Sprinkle black edible beads on top to represent watermelon seeds.
- Use fondant to create cute watermelon slices and roses for decorations.
