A stunning dessert combining red velvet cake and strawberry cheesecake, perfect for celebrations and sweet treats.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch springform pan.
- Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, buttermilk, egg, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar.
- Combine both mixtures and pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let the cake cool completely.
- Lower the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C). Beat the softened cream cheese in a bowl until smooth.
- Add the sugar, sour cream, heavy cream, eggs, vanilla extract, and pureed strawberries. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon this mixture over the cooled red velvet cake layer in the springform pan.
- Bake the cheesecake for 60-70 minutes. Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let it cool inside for 1 hour.
- Remove it from the oven and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Toss the sliced strawberries with sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl.
- Carefully remove the cheesecake from the pan and top it with the sugary sliced strawberries, slice, and serve!
