Ingredients

  • 9 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 6.8 ounces instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  • 60 drops red food coloring
  • 8 ounces whipped topping or whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon shaved or curled dark chocolate
  • A drizzle of cherry, strawberry, or raspberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by mixing the melted butter with the finely ground graham crackers. Press this mixture into a 9×13 inch pan and chill in the refrigerator.
  2. For the cream cheese layer, beat the softened cream cheese with the granulated sugar and apple cider vinegar until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  3. For the pudding layer, whisk together the milk and chocolate pudding mix until it begins to set. Add the red food coloring and mix until combined. Spread this layer over the cream cheese layer.
  4. For the topping, spread the whipped topping over the pudding layer. Garnish with shaved dark chocolate and drizzle some fruit sauce on top.
  5. Chill the lasagna in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or freeze overnight for well-defined layers.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.
