A visually stunning and delicious Red Velvet cake with creamy frosting, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour
  • 300 g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 240 ml of buttermilk
  • 120 ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring
  • 250 g of mascarpone cheese
  • 200 g of cream cheese
  • 100 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and butter two round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa powder together.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, buttermilk, oil, vinegar, vanilla, and red food coloring.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Leave to cool.
  6. For the frosting, beat the mascarpone, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Assemble the cake by placing frosting between the layers, then cover the entire cake with frosting.
  8. Sprinkle red crumbs on top for decoration.

Notes

Use quality red food coloring for vibrant color. Let the cake cool completely before frosting. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.
