Delicious Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies that combine rich red velvet chocolate and creamy cheesecake.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, 1 cup of sugar, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth.
  3. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pour about 3/4 of the red velvet batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/3 cup of sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture, and beat until fully incorporated.
  7. Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the red velvet layer in the pan, spreading it gently.
  8. Drop dollops of the remaining red velvet batter on top of the cheesecake layer. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the layers together gently, creating a marbled effect.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before transferring them to a cutting board. Slice into squares and enjoy!
