Description

A delightful dessert that combines rich red velvet flavors with brownie texture and creamy pudding goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (or homemade red velvet brownie batter)
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant cheesecake pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: red velvet crumbs, chocolate shavings, or sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to the package instructions (or your homemade brownie batter). Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake as directed, typically 28–32 minutes.
  2. Let the cake cool slightly (about 10 minutes). Use the handle of a wooden spoon or a skewer to poke holes all over the cake, about 1 inch apart.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until it thickens slightly (about 2 minutes). Pour the pudding over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes. Spread any remaining pudding evenly across the top.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined. Spread the topping over the pudding layer.
  5. Sprinkle with red velvet crumbs, chocolate shavings, or sprinkles for garnish. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours (or overnight) to set.
  6. Slice into squares and serve chilled for a rich and creamy dessert!

Notes

Ensure the cake is completely cooled before poking holes to prevent the pudding from leaking out. Customize toppings according to your preference.
