Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk until well combined.
- Gently fold in the fresh raspberries and dark chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream if desired.
