Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk (as needed for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter, then stir until you form a soft dough.
  3. Roll the dough out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  4. Spread the softened butter evenly on top of the dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 8–10 rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. While the rolls are baking, beat the icing ingredients (cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk) until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and enjoy!
