Ingredients
– 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
– 1/2 cup fruit preserves (e.g., raspberry, apricot)
– 1/2 cup Nutella or chocolate spread
– 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– 2 tbsp granulated sugar
– 1 egg (for egg wash)
– 1 tbsp milk
– Fresh berries (optional)
– Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets slightly.
3. Cut into desired shapes: squares for turnovers, strips for twists, or circles for cups.
4. For turnovers: Spoon fruit preserves or Nutella into the center, fold and seal the edges.
5. For cream cheese pastries: Mix cream cheese with a spoonful of sugar, then fill the centers of the pastry shapes.
6. Brush the tops with egg wash (egg mixed with milk) for a golden finish.
7. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or top with berries if using.
8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
9. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
10. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
