- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup dark chocolate (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until combined.
- Stir in the milk and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- Layer with shredded coconut, then top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once cooled, melt the dark chocolate and pour it over the cake to create a ganache.
- Serve chilled for the best flavor.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Top with extra shredded coconut for decoration.
