Description

A delicious and comforting dish combining tender chicken sautéed in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce with creamy, cheesy linguine. Perfect for any night of the week.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
  • 8 oz linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook the linguine until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with lemon zest, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and sauté for about 5–6 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted into a creamy mixture.
  7. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce.
  8. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix everything together. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic sauce. You can customize by adding vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
