- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
- 8 oz linguine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook the linguine until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Toss the chicken pieces with lemon zest, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and sauté for about 5–6 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper until the sauce thickens.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted into a creamy mixture.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix everything together. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic sauce. You can customize by adding vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
