Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- Pink food coloring (to your preference)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Add pink food coloring until you achieve your desired color.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
Serve plain, or dress them up with powdered sugar or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
