Description

Delightful pink vanilla cake squares, perfect for parties and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • Pink food coloring (to your preference)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  7. Add pink food coloring until you achieve your desired color.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve plain, or dress them up with powdered sugar or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
