A fun twist on a classic favorite, this Pepperoni Pizza Layer Cake combines delicious pizza flavors in a unique stacked design.
Ingredients

- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups halal beef pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing the crust)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
- Add the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- Divide the dough into three equal pieces, shape into balls, and let them rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out each ball of dough into a circular shape to fit your baking pan.
- Place the first layer of dough in the pan, spread some pizza sauce, and sprinkle with cheese and pepperoni. Add a second layer of dough on top and repeat the process.
- Top with the final layer of dough and brush with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
