Description
Delightful homemade peppermint patties featuring a refreshing mint interior coated in rich chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 8 oz dark chocolate (melted)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the sifted powdered sugar, softened butter, heavy cream, and peppermint extract.
- Mix until a smooth, pliable dough forms. If the mixture is too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar.
- Roll the peppermint mixture into small balls and flatten them into discs.
- Place the discs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 15-20 minutes.
- Dip each peppermint disc into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Place the coated patties back on the parchment-lined sheet and let the chocolate set.
- Once firm, store the peppermint patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
Use fresh peppermint extract for the best flavor. Add a small amount of vegetable oil to thin chocolate if needed.
