- Additional crushed candy canes, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine Oreo cookie crumbs with melted butter in a bowl and press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to create the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract together until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the crushed candy canes, mixing evenly.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the Oreo crust and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight to set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with additional crushed candy canes.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother filling. Let the cheesecake sit at room temperature before slicing for ease.
