- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup M&M candies
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- For the Peanut Butter Frosting:
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- M&Ms for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter, softened butter, and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Gently fold in M&M candies.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely in the pans.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together creamy peanut butter and softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk, mixing until creamy and smooth.
- Once the cakes are cool, spread a layer of frosting between the cake layers. Cover the top and sides of the cake with the remaining frosting. Decorate the top with additional M&M candies.
