Description

A decadent dessert combining rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder without sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a cheesecake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  7. Once the chocolate cake has cooled, spread the peanut butter mixture over the top.
  8. Top with whipped cream and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Make sure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for easy mixing. Be careful not to overmix the cake batter; mix until just combined for a lighter texture. Allow the cake to cool completely before spreading the peanut butter layer to prevent it from melting.
