- 4 large eggs

- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2 cups fresh peaches, chopped
- 1/2 cup peach preserves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped peaches and peach preserves gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
