This rich and creamy Paula Deen banana pudding recipe is a Southern classic made with bananas, French vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and cookies.
Ingredients
– 1 (12-oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
– 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
– 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
– 2 cups cold milk
– 1 (5-oz) box instant French vanilla pudding mix
– 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
– 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
Instructions
1. Line the bottom of a 13×9-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies.
2. Slice bananas and layer them on top of the cookies.
3. In a bowl, mix cold milk with the pudding mix until thickened.
4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
5. Fold whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture gently.
6. Combine the cream cheese mixture with the pudding mixture until well blended.
7. Pour the mixture over the banana and cookie layers in the dish.
8. Top with the remaining cookies.
9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
