Description

A delicious cheesecake combining the flavors of classic Oreos with a creamy cheesecake base, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 packages (32 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • Crushed Oreo cookies for garnish
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form an even crust. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add in the granulated sugar and continue mixing until well combined.
  4. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Fold in the sour cream and crushed Oreos until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled Oreo crust. Bake in a water bath for about 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door ajar for about 1 hour.
  8. After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to set fully.
  9. Before serving, garnish with crushed Oreo cookies and a dollop of whipped cream on top.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for the best texture. Avoid overmixing to keep the cheesecake light. A water bath helps prevent cracks.
