Description

Celebrate with a delicious Oreo Birthday Cake that combines rich chocolate flavors and the irresistible crunch of Oreo cookies.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Oreo cookies, crushed
  • Additional Oreo cookies for decoration
  • Chocolate drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. For the frosting, whip heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form, then fold in crushed Oreo cookies.
  9. Once the cakes are cooled, assemble by placing one layer on a serving plate, spreading frosting on top, then adding the second layer.
  10. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining frosting. Decorate with additional Oreo cookies and drizzle chocolate if desired.
