Delightful truffles combining refreshing orange flavor and creamy chocolate goodness, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 drop orange food coloring
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Add white chocolate chips to a medium bowl and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter and orange zest together.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. Pour the mixture through a sieve into the bowl with white chocolate chips.
  5. Let the mixture sit for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the chocolate.
  6. Add orange extract, vanilla extract, and food coloring, then whisk until smooth.
  7. If chocolate hasn’t melted completely, heat in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until melted.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  9. Scoop 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of mixture and roll into balls.
  10. Roll the truffles in powdered sugar.
  11. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use good-quality white chocolate chips for the best flavor. You can roll truffles in shredded coconut or chocolate sprinkles instead of powdered sugar.
