Description

A delightful dessert that combines the creamy goodness of traditional cheesecake with the refreshing zest of oranges.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 750 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Zest from 3 oranges
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 4 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and spray a 9-inch springform pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a mixer, add the softened cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the sugar, then add the vanilla yogurt, vanilla extract, salt, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix well.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time while mixing on low speed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, which should be placed on a cookie sheet lined with foil to catch any drips.
  7. Bake for 85-90 minutes, until the edges are puffed and the center jiggles slightly.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes and then refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
  9. After chilling, cut into 10 slices and enjoy!

Notes

Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream, orange slices, or zest. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for up to 3 months.
