Delicious dessert bars combining buttery cake with creamy cream cheese and topped with salted caramel.

  • 1 box Butter Yellow Cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel topping
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Butter Yellow Cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×9-inch baking pan and spread it evenly to cover the entire bottom.
  4. Drizzle the salted caramel topping evenly over the crust.
  5. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the salted caramel layer.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until set but slightly gooey in the center.
  9. Let cool to room temperature before cutting into servings.
