Description
A quick and delicious meal combining tender steak, pasta, and a spicy honey garlic sauce, all cooked in one pan.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice level)
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and cook for 3-4 minutes, until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, sriracha, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt to the pan. Stir to combine and pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Return the steak to the skillet, add the cooked pasta, and toss until coated in the sauce. Add butter and mix until melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, slice the steak thinly against the grain and adjust sriracha for spice preference.
