Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground nuts, flour, and baking powder together.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture is thick and pale.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool completely.
  7. Whip the heavy cream with the vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  8. Slice the cooled cake in half and spread a layer of whipped cream between the layers and on top.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
