- 12 ounces vanilla wafers
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 box (3 oz) orange Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Zest of one orange
Instructions
- Pulse the vanilla wafers into fine crumbs.
- Mix crumbs with sugar and melted butter, then press into a springform pan.
- Chill the crust for 30 minutes.
- Beat cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth.
- Dissolve orange Jell-O in boiling water and let it cool.
- Whip heavy cream with vanilla, powdered sugar, and orange zest until stiff peaks form.
- Fold half of the whipped cream into the Jell-O, and the other half into the cream cheese mixture.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on the crust and then top with the orange cream mixture.
- Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Store any leftovers in the refrigerator, covered, for 3 to 5 days. You can freeze individual slices for up to a month.
