- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/4 cup orange gelatin (Jell-O)
- 1 teaspoon orange extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar.
- Stir in the melted butter and mix until evenly coated.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan or pie dish to form the crust.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
- Add the orange juice, orange zest, orange gelatin, and orange extract to the cream cheese mixture, folding them in until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture onto the chilled crust and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to set.
- Garnish with additional orange zest or whipped cream before serving, if desired.
Notes
This cheesecake can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator. It can also be frozen for longer storage.
