  • 2 cups semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (divided)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by mixing chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter and pressing into a 9-inch springform pan. Refrigerate.
  2. Make the mousse filling by melting chocolate chips with 1/2 cup heavy cream, then folding in whipped cream with powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over the crust and refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours.
  3. Whip cream with powdered sugar for topping and spread over the chilled mousse.
  4. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder and slice into 12 servings.
