Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 300 grams Oreo cookies (about 25 cookies)
  • 200 grams good quality chocolate (or about 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, divided
  • 750 grams cream cheese (24 oz or 3 packages), room temperature
  • 255 grams powdered sugar (2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by blending melted butter and Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Melt chocolate with 1/2 cup of heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat room temperature cream cheese with powdered sugar and melted chocolate until smooth.
  4. Whip the remaining heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Fill the prepared crust with the chocolate cheesecake filling and smooth the top. Chill for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  6. Slice and serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream, caramel sauce, or fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smoother filling. Add vanilla extract for extra flavor.
