- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 300 grams Oreo cookies (about 25 cookies)
- 200 grams good quality chocolate (or about 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, divided
- 750 grams cream cheese (24 oz or 3 packages), room temperature
- 255 grams powdered sugar (2 cups)
Instructions
- Prepare the crust by blending melted butter and Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Melt chocolate with 1/2 cup of heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat room temperature cream cheese with powdered sugar and melted chocolate until smooth.
- Whip the remaining heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
- Fill the prepared crust with the chocolate cheesecake filling and smooth the top. Chill for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Slice and serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream, caramel sauce, or fresh fruit if desired.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smoother filling. Add vanilla extract for extra flavor.
