- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreos
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 8 ounces dark chocolate (60% cacao recommended)
- 1 1/2 cups (355ml) heavy whipping cream, divided
- 1/2 cup (65g) powdered sugar
- 16 ounces (452g) full-fat cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup (95g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (236ml) heavy whipping cream for topping
- 1/2 cup (65g) powdered sugar for topping
- Fresh fruit for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Lightly grease a 9-inch springform pan and line it with parchment paper. Grind the Oreos into fine crumbs and mix them with the melted butter. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan and refrigerate.
- Make the Cheesecake Filling: Melt the dark chocolate with 1/4 cup of heavy cream. Chill a mixing bowl, then beat 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar and vanilla. Then, mix in the melted chocolate. Finally, fold in the whipped cream.
- Assemble the Cheesecake: Pour the cheesecake filling into the crust and refrigerate for 3-4 hours, or until set.
- Prepare the Topping: Whip the remaining cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Pipe this whipped cream around the edges of the cheesecake and garnish with fresh fruit. Serve chilled.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For a stronger chocolate flavor, use chocolate with a higher cacao percentage.
