Ingredients

- 1 stick butter (8 Tablespoons)
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding
- 1/3 cup milk
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the butter, water, and vanilla to a boil.
- Add the flour and stir constantly until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot and forms a ball.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Beat in the 4 eggs, one at a time, until the mixture is smooth.
- Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the cream puffs to cool.
- Once cooled, slice the puffs in half and pipe or scoop in the filling. Dust the tops with powdered sugar.
- For the filling, beat the heavy cream, pudding powder, and milk together in a mixer until thick like whipped cream.
Notes
These cream puffs are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
