Description

Light and airy pastries filled with sweet whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine water and butter and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Add flour and salt all at once, stirring vigorously until it forms a ball.
  4. Let the dough cool for about 5 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until shiny and smooth.
  5. Spoon or pipe mounds of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Avoid opening the oven during baking.
  7. While puffs cool, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until soft peaks form.
  8. Cool puffs completely before slicing. Fill with whipped cream and replace tops. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, store unfilled puffs in the fridge for a day or freeze for up to a month.
