- 4 oz milk
- 3 oz canola oil
- 6 oz milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 13 oz cake flour
- 13 oz granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 4 oz of milk and 3 oz of canola oil.
- Add 6 oz of milk, 3 large eggs, and 1 Tbsp of vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together 13 oz of cake flour and 13 oz of granulated sugar.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth and no lumps remain.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost with your favorite buttercream once completely cool.
Notes
For added flavor, incorporate lemon zest or chocolate chips into the batter.
