A fun and delicious treat that combines the chocolaty goodness of Oreos with the colorful crunch of M&M’s. Easy to make and perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 18 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup M&M’s (plain or your favorite flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray it with cooking spray. Set it aside.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 1 minute.
- Let the melted butter cool slightly, then whisk in the egg, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the flour and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Gently fold in the chopped Oreos.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, using a spatula to smooth it out evenly.
- Evenly sprinkle M&M’s on top and gently press them down into the batter.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the edges are firm and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a fun twist, try using peanut butter M&M’s or mini M&M’s for added texture and flavor.
