Ingredients

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 3/4 cup (150g) sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a mini cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil and sugar until combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared mini cake pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely before applying the mirror glaze.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week. Bring to room temperature before serving.
