Description

A delightful and flavorful bread combining spinach and feta, perfect for any meal or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the warm water and yeast; let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then place it in a greased bowl.
  5. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Once risen, flatten the dough on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle spinach and crumbled feta on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with olive oil for dipping or alongside a fresh salad. This bread can also be sliced for sandwiches or served with spreads.
