Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, combine lime juice, chopped cilantro, and minced garlic.
  5. Once the scallops are cooked, drizzle the zesty lime cilantro sauce over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat the scallops dry before cooking for a nice golden crust. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
