Ingredients

- 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Season the scallops with salt and pepper.
- Once the oil is hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine lime juice, chopped cilantro, and minced garlic.
- Once the scallops are cooked, drizzle the zesty lime cilantro sauce over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
Pat the scallops dry before cooking for a nice golden crust. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
