- 16 ounces mild or sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk powder
- 1/4 ounce unflavored gelatin (optional)
- 1 cup water or milk
Instructions
- In a pot, combine the shredded cheese and milk powder.
- Add the water or milk and mix until well combined.
- If using gelatin, dissolve it in a small amount of warm water and add it to the mixture.
- Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring continuously until it becomes smooth and well blended.
- Pour the cheese mixture into a mold or container and let it cool.
- Refrigerate until set, then slice or serve as desired.
Notes
For best flavor, use good quality cheddar cheese. Consider adding herbs or spices to the mixture.
